What We Are
We are a "dual" chapter, chartered in
both BOUNDERS UNITED
and BOUNDERS OF AMERICA,
international (US & Canada) organizations of Bounder
motorhome owners. The Bounder, first introduced by
Fleetwood Enterprises in the late 80's, quickly became
the world's most popular Class "A" RV, largely due to
its innovative basement storage compartments.
Although most other RVs now have this storage, we still
consider Bounders to be "Number One". For us,
RVing is much more than simply owning a vehicle.
You may have noticed the kangaroos on this site and on
RVs passing on the road. That "roo" is a symbol of
"Boundering", which is about friendship and camaraderie.
The Bluegrass Bounders welcomes Bounder owners in
Kentucky and surrounding states to join us. Email
any of the people shown above if you would like more
information.
Brief History
The chapter was formed in June, 2000 during a meeting
at the Lexington (KY) Horse Park. Vince Soplinski,
Eastern Regional Vice President, and Chub Eddy,
Eastern Fleetwood Liaison, were there with their wives
to help us get started. We were accepted as a
chapter of Bounders United in August 2000. Ralph
Sneve was the first chapter president, serving over six
years until October 2006. In October 2007 the
chapter voted to also become a chapter of Bounders of
America, still retaining its affiliation with Bounders
United. The petition for membership was approved
BY BOA in November 2007. Special 'thanks' to the
Sneve's and the Brown's for their support of chapter
activities over the past years. We look forward to
many more in the future. |
